SMART Start Terms of Use

1. About SMART Start

SMART Start is a free collection of questionnaires, worksheets, templates and guidance for business owners. It is provided by Smart Resource Solutions, a trading name of Sofcomit Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 03794977) (“we”, “us”). By using SMART Start you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

2. Free to use

SMART Start is free. There’s no account, password, subscription or payment. We ask you to register with your name, business name and email address so we can send you your access link. How we use those details is explained in our Privacy Policy.

3. General guidance, not professional advice

SMART Start provides general information to help you think through decisions about your business, your team and hiring. It is not legal, employment, HR, tax or financial advice, and it does not take account of your particular circumstances. Any results, recommendations or suggested starting points are prompts for your own thinking, not instructions. You are responsible for the decisions you make. For advice on your situation, speak to a suitably qualified adviser.

4. Templates you use

Templates such as job descriptions, job adverts, interview scorecards and checklists are starting points. Check and adapt anything you create before you use it, particularly for compliance with employment and equality law.

5. Your information in the tools

What you type into the tools is saved only in your own web browser on the device you’re using. We cannot see it, recover it or move it between devices. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, or changing browser or device may remove it. Please keep your own copy of anything important by printing it, saving it as a PDF or downloading it.

6. Using the content

The SMART Start tools, text, templates, frameworks (including the G.R.O.W.T.H. framework) and design belong to Sofcomit Ltd. You may use them, and the documents you create with them, within your own business. You may not copy, sell, republish, share publicly or include them in another product or service without our written permission.

7. Acceptable use

Please don’t try to interfere with SMART Start, its security or its availability, or use it for anything unlawful.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep SMART Start available, but we don’t guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, change or withdraw any part of it, or these terms, at any time. The latest version of these terms will always be on this page.

9. Our responsibility

SMART Start is provided free of charge and “as is”. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of SMART Start or from decisions you make using it, including loss of profit, business or opportunity. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

10. Links to other websites

SMART Start may link to other websites, such as our booking page. We are not responsible for their content or how they use your information.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
